TMdrive- MVG2 Series
The TMdrive-MVG2 is a universal, compact, and perfect harmonic-free high voltage converter with a maximum capacity of 28 MVA and a voltage rating of 3-11 KV. TMdrive-MVG2 integrates advanced technology and key components from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation and incorporates top Japanese design and manufacturing processes. It can perfectly drive motors or new motors and meet users' system requirements for a new generation of exceptionally reliable high performance high voltage converters.
Product Features
  • Wide Capacity Range
Can drive 3 KV, 6 KV, 10 KV, and 11 KV asynchronous motors, with individual capacities covering 3 KV (200 KVA and 4400 KVA), 6 KV (360 KVA to 9000 KVA), and 10 KV (600 KVA to 15000 KVA)
  • Low Harmonics
As input transformers with multiple windings are used, a multi-pulse rectification method is adopted. The device meets the strict IEEE-519 (1992) and GB14549-1993 standards for higher harmonics. This not only greatly reduces the distortion of harmonic currents on the power supply side, but also protects other equipment in the factory from the effects of filtering.
  • Perfect Output Waveform
Near perfect sine wave, no need to to replace the original motor, and there is no additional harmonic heating.
As a result of the multi-level PWM control, the output waveform is close to a sine wave. There are negligible harmonics-generated heat losses.
In addition, the harmonic currents in the motor are minimized, thus, almost no pulsating torque is generated in the motor shaft and the resonance at the load side is avoided.
  • High Efficiency
The system efficiency is as high as 97.5% (design value).
The efficiency loss is reduced as an output transformer is not required.
    High efficiency is due to:
The use of 1700 V high voltage 5th generation IGBTs reduces switching components while allowing for increased efficiency and reliability.
The use of multi-level PWM control reduces the IGBT's own high frequency switching losses resulting in a lower switching frequency. It is directly connected to the motor without the need for an output transformer.
  • High Power Factor
The use of full-wave rectification with diodes significantly improves the power factor (input power factor reaching 0.95 or more).
There is an internal diode bridge rectifier in each inverter unit. This enables input power factors of 0.95 or more to be achieved in the normal operating speed range, even when driving multi-pole induction motors with low power factors; and with such high power, power factor compensation is not required.
  • Energy-saving
Can drive exhaust fans, fans, pumps, etc. with variable square-of-speed torque load, which can ensure excellent energy savings.
  • High Reliability
The latest generation high-voltage IGBT is used in the main circuit, which greatly improves the reliability while reducing the number of components.
A dedicated 32-bit microprocessor (PP7) with power electronic control is adopted.
Maintenance-free self-healing film capacitors are used.
